On July 26th, Julia-Sophie released her debut album, forgive too slow. The album’s latest single is “i was only.” Some may recognize as Julia-Sophie as a founding member of major label signee, Little Fish but “i was only” shows a different side of her. The avant-garde finds her vocals lilting over droning synths but the chorus still shows her penchant for pop. It makes for a song that is disconcerting, beautiful and catchy all at once.
