On November 15th, Juliana Hatfield will release her new album, Juliana Hatfield Sings The Police. The lead single from the album is “De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da.” The track was originally released by the Police in 1980 as the second single from Zenyatta Mondatta. Hatfield’s version is largely faithful to the original except with a lot less reverb on the guitars which goes along with Hatfield’s stated mission to honor The Police. “I listened to a lot of The Police when I was preparing and making this album and their recordings are as refreshing and exciting as ever” she says. “I hope that my interpretations of these songs can inspire people to keep loving The Police like I did, and still do.”
