What a well-timed, liberating, modern day women’s anthem! Kaskade‘s soon-to-be-classic single, appropriately titled “Woman,” uses a pitched down version of Chaka Khan’s “I’m Every Woman” chorus to perfect effect, while the 90’s-style synth bass line combines with the plucky percussion to give it all the polish it needs. Laura Lamn‘s smooth, thoughtful, well-rapped lyrics sound that much better with her strong British accent, and the entire song sweeps you away while you think about one of the more important social issues of our time.
