Toronto-based band, Kiwi Jr. are preparing to release their album, Football Money on January 17th. The latest single from the album is the titular track. With sunny guitar arpeggios and Weezer-esque vocals, the song is poppy for sure. Some insouciance is exhibited in the lyrics with lines like “they pay me to hit home runs/they don’t pay me to stand in the sun.” “Home run” isn’t a football term but I don’t have the heart to tell them.
