Austin, TX’s Letting Up Despite Great Faults are preparing to release their first album since 2014’s Neon. The first single from the album is “Gemini.” The song shows a different side of the band from what we’ve heard. While they have always teetered on the edge of indie and dream pop, “Gemini” is straight shoegaze. Lead singer, Mike Lee’s voice is barely audible over a relentless wall-of-guitar. Luckily, the band included the song lyrics on their Soundcloud, otherwise I’m not sure these words would ever be comprehendible.
