Philadelphia by way of Providence band, Manwomanchild will release their new single “The Difficult Years” on March 10th. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the track exclusively. “The Difficult Years” starts off sounding like LCD Soundsystem being fronted by Ben Gibbard before breaking into hybrid glam rock/chamber pop. A sudden change in tempo a minute and a half in ushers in electric guitars, symphonic strings, and an arena-sized chorus. Its a track that takes a few listens to truly understand how complex and successful the arrangement is.
