What would cause an artist to leave New York City for the Southwest of Albuquerque, NM is not really known. On one of his first releases since his move, Memoryy shows what concentrating on his craft in a much less busy metropolis can bare. “Out of the Dark” is a brilliant 80s pop jam with reverbed guitars befitting of Flock of Seagulls and driving drums to keep the track moving. It sounds like something off of the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City soundtrack.
