DJ Massakerr takes some of the most sampled tracks of the 12 months (Rihanna‘s “We Found Love” and Gotye‘s “Somebody That I Used to Know”) and creates something fairly original out of it. First off, he mostly uses the Rihanna song for the instrumental rather than the horribly overused acapella and secondly Gotye’s track is not a huge part of the mix. The parts with Bruno Mars‘ “Just The Way You Are” sound great over the Rihanna beat when Massakerr mixes in Gotye it does not quite sound right to me, almost like it does not line up correctly. But that is only a small part of the larger mashup which is pretty good overall.
