Brooklyn’s six-piece indie-country band, The Morning Pages’ debut album, Rising Rain drops in May. In order to drum up a little press they just leaked this great cover of Lady Gaga’s “Telephone”. The blurb that came with the MP3 said that the cover answers the question “How would ‘Telephone’ play out in the 1850s?” It probably would’ve been called prophetic since the telephone wasn’t invented until 1876, but otherwise, it plays out remarkably well.
