Legendary English duo, Orbital are preparing to release Optical Delusion in early 2023. The latest single from the album is “Dirty Rat.” Teaming up with Nottingham’s Sleaford Mods, the track balances breakneck electroclash production with Jason Williamson’s ranting vocals. The track is decidedly political with Williamson saying “people talk about the right way to live/shut up, you don’t know what you’re on about/you voted for’em, look at you/you dirty rat.” Orbital’s Paul Hartnoll said “That track is just a capital letter, isn’t it? Big, simple, loud statement. It’s punk rock, a real wake up kind of track.”
