Back in May, +/- {Plus/Minus} released their album, Further Afield via Ernest Jenning Record Co. The latest single from the album is “Contempt.” Despite the song’s name, the track actually is actually fairly sunny. The song mixes angular guitars with warm pads and retro synth sounds; according to songwriter James Baluyut, it draws inspiration from the experimental spirit of 1980s post-punk, blending punk DIY ethos with futuristic technology.
