Champaign, IL’s Rebecca Rego and The Trainmen released their new album, Lay These Weapons Down on October 21st. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the music video for the album’s latest single “Steamroller.” The track has a 90s-alternative vibe somewhere between Hole and Concrete Blonde. The video helps highlight the song’s themes of isolation and loneliness. Rego is seen at a house party wearing headphones not interacting with any other party goers. Those scenes are interspersed with others of Rego alone on a beach or in the woods running. She wants her “old man back” but it seems like she running from those demons rather than facing them.
