There aren’t a lot better lines to start off a song with that “waiting for you is like waiting for death itself/at least I know you’ll come.” That is how New York band, Rebounder start off their new track, “Slow Angel.” The song which they describe as “like getting dressed for a new Orleans funeral, but the funeral is for a relationship” starts off with a Dinosaur Jr.-esque guitar riff and noisy drums before settling into something that sounds a little more Stokes-ish. The real star of the show is the insouciant lyrics which keep the song light and amusing.
