Los Angeles producer, RL Grime takes us to France for his new single–specifically to the city of “Reims.” Reims has a long history as the traditional site of the crowning of the kings of France. I would be shocked if RL Grime doesn’t become a king with this track. “Reims” features cinematic strings, cut up and manipulate vocals, and epic drums that sound lifted out of an Imagine Dragons‘ song. It is not the usual trap fare from RL Grime but it shows all the work he has put in the last two years while he has been largely off the radar.
