Oregon band, Schaus released their album, Handshake on October 14th. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the video for their latest single, “Slush.”
As the opening track of the album, “Slush” sets the tone for the record with its mixture of krautrock, synth pop, and psychedelic aesthetics. The track’s video enhances the psychedelic aspects of the song with its kaleidoscopic patterns in floating shapes and a seeming irreverence. While some of the more social or political statements of the song might be lost in the imagery, the video is imaginative and hypnotizing like a 90s screen saver.
