In 2015, Nashville singer/songwriter Shane Tutmarc released a single a month. December’s installment was “The Basement In Nashville.” Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the lyric video for the track. Tutmarc explains that the track “was written in preparation for my first show in Nashville, TN. The lyrics are pretty straight up. I was flying to Nashville from Seattle to play The Basement, and I needed a place to stay.” The lyric video features the concert scene from Johnny Depp’s Cry-Baby. Of the choice, Tutmarc said “Cry-Baby starring Johnny Depp felt like the perfect visual to capture the humor, raw energy and wink-wink sexual innuendos in the lyrics.”
