UK rappers, Shogun and Britizen Kane are preparing to release a new EP, ShoKane later this year. The second single from the album is “Figure 8.” Featuring Australian rapper, Wombat, the three rappers each have a unique lyrical take on the beat with none of them being particularly boastful. Shogun’s first verse talks about his Irish immigrant parents while Britizen Kane name drops celebrities like River Phoenix and Kurt Cobain who died too early saying he’ll never be like them. Wombat’s closing verse is about making minimum wage and scraping together coins to buy essentials. While the subject matter might be a bit esoteric, each emcee goes hard over the Turkish Dcypha beat.
