World champion beatboxer turned electronic singer/songwriter, SK Shlomo is preparing to release his debut Surrender on March 29th. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere his new music video for “The Future.”
“The Future” is the final single ahead of the full album release. Although the song is melancholic about coping with loss, the driving, pulsating drums and layers of synth are reminiscent of Royksopp or Massive Attack. The video which is mostly comprised of children playing, ties into a feeling of a loss of innocence but with underlying hopefulness. It makes sense from a man who has been very open about his struggles with PTSD and depression.
