Merge Records’ latest signees are Spider Bags. Sprung from the same Chapel Hill scene that birthed Superchunk and Archers of Loaf, Spider Bags will release the album Frozen Letter on August 5. The album’s lead single is “Back With You Again in the World.” The fuzzed out indie rock track is reminiscent of bands like Guided By Voices or the others mentioned in this post.
