The Stress Of Her Regard “Callipygian”

Minneapolis-based The Stress Of Her Regard are preparing to release their self-titled album on November 19th. The latest single from the album is “Callipygian.” Mixing literary lyrics with a big wall-of-guitar sound, the song straddles the line between modern indie and late-90s alt-rock. It sounds like if Eve 6 were on Barsuk Records in the early 2000s. Vocalist/guitarist/lyricist Ciaran Daly jokes “I don’t have a literature degree, but I try hard to make it obvious that I paid attention to the Shakespeare portion of high school.” With lyrically quips like “you thought you had a Romeo but you had a Tybalt,” I don’t think anyone will accuse Daly with not being well-read.
