Taylor Swift‘s new track “Look What You Made Me Do” has had twitter abuzz all day today with listeners hypothesizing about who the song is about. Is it about Katy Perry? Is it about Kanye? Regardless of who you think the track is dissing, “Look What You Made Me Do” does signify a stark change to T-Swift’s sound. Her vocals often lack melody and are placed over an electroclash beat that sounds like early 2000s Peaches. “Look What You Made Me Do” is not much of a pop track. With repeated listens it does get catchy, but it does not immediately sound like a hit. If this is what a large part of reputation will sound like, it will be Swift’s most divisive album yet.
