Washington, DC trio, Misun just dropped their new single, “Hills and Trails.” The track features a shuffling beat with shimmering synths and long guitar strums. “Hills and Trails” ends up sounding like the perfect summer track.
At the same time as releasing “Hills and Trails,” Misun also released a remix of the track done by Pickster & Melo aka Kingman Fire. The duo’s version of the track features a hand-clap-filled deep house beat and plenty of sunswept pathos. Unfortunately, it doesn’t feel like much else is changed. Pickster and Melo use stems of the original track’s vocals, keyboards, and guitar. Besides some added male vocals towards the end of the song and the beat, their remix feels basically the same.
