Premiere: Threefifty “Crossing State Lines”

In 2011, Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile released an album called The Goat Rodeo Sessions which took some of the world’s foremost classical musicians and had them take on bluegrass music. Now imagine those same musicians taking on post-rock and you would have something that sounds like Threefifty. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere their new single, “Crossing State Lines.” Featuring a mixture of guitars, violin, drums, bass, mandolin, and electronics, the track is interesting, austere, and evolving. Just as “Crossing State Lines” is winding down and you think you’ve heard it all, glockenspiel gets added to the mix to take the track home.

“Crossing State Lines” will be featured on Threefifty’s upcoming album, Gently Among The Coals which will be released on May 12th.
