The way Two Friends‘ remix of Tori Kelly‘s “Expensive” starts out, it is almost reminiscent of Cee-Lo‘s “Fuck You.” With Kelly’s soulful vocals and the sustained piano hits, it seems like a neo-soul classic could be coming. Soon 90s house synth hits are added along with some big strings to create a bombastic, high-energy track.
