The lyrics discuss how a conversation needs to happen over almost tribal drums and post-punk bass. This moodiness coalesces to the chorus which is happier sounding than you might imagine. With a baritone guitar pattern reminiscent of New Order’s “Age Of Consent” and the impassioned vocals begging “Try a little/Work a little/Be a little bit more for me,” the track becomes an anthem for action speaking louder than words.
