Liberian DJ/Producer Val Fleury recently released her single, “Ride On Time.” Deep, menacing synths rumble below a Afrohouse beat and pitched-down monotone vocals. It has a dystopian futuristic feel to it but oddly enough, Fleury said it was inspired Black Box’ 1990 hit single of the same name. I don’t see many similarities but both are bangers.
