Avant-garde duo, Xiu Xiu are preparing to release not one but TWO records. On December 3rd, the duo will be releasing Nina, a collection of Nina Simone covers. Then in February, Xiu Xiu will release their first set of original material since 2012’s Always called Angel Guts: Red Classroom. The first single from Angel Guts is “Stupid in the Dark.” The track’s nervous energy is almost palpable with a hard, fast-paced beat in the background propelling the song with Jamie Stewart’s manipulated vocals splattered over the top of it. The track is definitely not for everybody but might be worth a listen.
