The original release of “Righteous Way” came on Chali 2na‘s debut solo album, 2009’s Fish Outta Water. Eleven years later, 2na has re-released as the final piece of a slate of Fish Outta Water re-workings. Infused with nostalgic R&B tones, the 2020 version aptly reflects the personal lyrics about what it means to be a father and a son. It really shows the range of the Jurassic 5 frontman.
