Geordie Kieffer has me stumped. It’s really rare to come across an artist that truly sounds like nobody else. I’ve heard two songs – the brand new “Tastes Like Chocolate” and last month’s “Red Line,” and in them I hear slices of Jack Johnson, Jamiroquai, The Beastie Boys, and sometimes he also kinda sounds like Paul Simon? His videos are absolute treats, he’s clearly comfy in front of the camera, and he’s one helluva songwriter/song concept creator. There’s no reason to even analyze the songs here, just listen and watch for yourselves – prepare to be confused, excited, intrigued and a whole bunch of other welcome and unwelcome feelings. Anything that accomplishes all that is true art, no matter what you think about it.

I heard Red Line accompanying a video of dune buggies & other off road vehicles racing & doing tricks on TikTok about 3 or 4 months ago. Instantly loved it & searched for it to add to my collection. Little did I know that I was about to start delving into a world of music, lyrics, and videos that I find more rivetting & controversial than Die Antwerd. He’s a musical & lyrical genius & truly one of a kind. This guy is so dope Idk why he’s not wicked f%$@ing famous already.
