Honolulu four-piece, Goon lei Goon just released their debut single, “Sissy.” Mixing reverb-drenched guitars with driving drums, the track has a bit of a surf-punk vibe but Dylan DeAngelo’s signature croon keeps it from sounding like WAVVES or some band like that. Instead, “Sissy” shows Goon lei Goon as surf-punk’s Smoking Popes and that’s a sweet place to be.
