When we last heard from Minus the Bear it was with “Lucky Ones,” a track that seemed to hearken back to the band’s first three albums. The latest track from the band’s upcoming Lost Ones full-length is “Cat Calls & Ill Means.” This track seems to be more in line with Infinity Overhead, which reached #31 on the Billboard 200 as Minus The Bear’s highest charting album to date. For Minus the Bear purists like myself, it is a bit of a let down after the promise that “Lucky Ones” showed but it is obviously a sound that is working for the band and they have every right to pursue it.
