Robert Loud recorded “Intentional” a few years back and was planning a release when he was asked by the Killers to play keyboard and guitar for their tour. The single finally sees its release in 2020. Although the song has a bouncy synth-pop feel, it belies melancholic lyrics. “When we unknowingly hurt our loved ones, the default response is ‘I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to!'” says Loud, “which in reality doesn’t have anything to do with the actual feelings of others.”
