Bedroom pop is an exploding genre and Nightmode is firmly entrenched in that genre. On “Halo,” they distinguish themselves from their peers by adding a new flare to their bedroom pop by adding some baby making music to the bedroom. It is not hard to close your eyes and hear a little bit of the Isley Brothers’ “Between the Sheets” or even Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” in the dreamy song.
