Berry Galazka “Marisa”

On May 7th, Berry Galazka will be releasing her debut EP, Man Can’t Hang, Ain’t Part of the Gang. The latest single from the album is “Marisa.” Mixing elements of hyperpop and hip-hop, the track features playful lyrics about standing up to a bully in school. There are plenty of little pop easter eggs like singing “my mom was so proud of me/after school she bought me ice cream” and Galazka adding “thanks mom.” The song balances that type of cuteness with the fact that much of the lyrics are about choking another child.
