Norwegian singer/songwriter, Tuvaband released their album, Growing Pains & Pleasures last month. Album single, “Irreversible” gets the remix treatment from legendary Jamaican musician and producer, Lee “Scratch” Perry. Tuva Hellum Marschhäuser, the woman behind the Tuvaband moniker, said “the first time I heard Lee Scratch Perry, I was amazed; I think he’s a really bold and innovative artist. She continued “I really wanted to hear my music through his ears, and wanted to collaborate with him somehow. I realized that a remix could be a good place to start.” The slowcore/synth pop of the original is replaced by Perry’s expert dub production creating a spacious yet danceable remix.
