Seattle’s Brett Heron is launching his new project, Astral Jukebox with their debut album Poems, Thoughts, and Collected Mumblings on June 3rd. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the album’s new single, “Neon Nights.”
The track features two members of Heart: Andy Stoller on bass and Ben Smith on drums as well as Kathy Moore on guitar with Heron showing off his skills piano skills along with his powerhouse vocals. While it is hard to listen to “Neon Nights” and not hear David Bowie, there is an 80s arena rock element to the track as well. “The song was inspired by nights performing for epic party crowds that always found a new level,” said Heron and a fittingly big tribute it is.
