Manchester singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Adam Hopper released his debut single, “Beauty In Sadness” last month. The track has a late 90s alt-pop feel with its acoustic guitar backbone, jaunty drums, and shimmering backing synths. The song’s talk singing vocals recalls hits like OMC’s “How Bizarre.” Hopper said “The song is really important to me. I wrote it back in March when I was spending a lot of time in my garden planting stuff ready for summer – gardening away the fear. I felt particularly crappy around then, and it turned into this ‘keep your chin up’ kind of song.” As we travel further into the winter months, “Beauty In Sadness” is a nice pick-me-up.
