During her senior year of high school, Alexa Cappelli was a member of Team Kelly on NBC’s The Voice Season 14. Now at age 20, she is releasing her debut EP The Colors That Make You. Her latest single, “Over My Head” starts off with thumping bass and some modified strings before Cappelli’s voice takes over as the star of the show. Lyrically, Cappelli describes the song as “a story about a girl who is falling for someone she knows she shouldn’t.” She continues “the chorus even sings ‘uh oh,’ as she knows she’s in for some trouble.” The only trouble listeners are in for is trying to get the song out of their heads.
