Tennessee band, Annabelle’s Curse are set to release their fifth full length album, Vast Oceans on May 22th. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the album’s new single, “Bailout.”
Mixing elements of Americana, chamber pop, and indie rock, the track features saxophone, violin, banjo, and jazzy organs along with more traditional rock instruments. It is reminiscent of bands like Arcade Fire especially when you take into account the multi-layer lyrics. “Bail Out is a song with multiple meanings,” explains the band. “It addresses the isolation, division and distraction of the current era through a metaphor of a sinking ship and a struggling relationship.” The song seems ever more prescient in this time of global pandemic.
