Glaswegian band, Catholic Action are preparing to release their new album, Celebrated by Strangers on March 27th. The album’s latest single is “People Don’t Protest Enough.” The track’s Casio drum beat and creeping synth bass gives the impression that the song is a light-hearted affair but its actually fairly politically-charged. When the chorus hits, vocalist Chris McCrory begs “tell me what you despise” over distorted guitar stabs that sound like fingers poking you in the chest. There is real power in Catholic Action’s songs.
