Sweden’s Club 8, the side project of Acid House Kings‘ Johan Angergård with vocalist, Karolina Komstedt, just released their new single, “Sucker.” Much of Club 8’s output over the last three decades fall into the moody synthpop range but “Sucker” is as close as the duo has sounded to Acid House Kings. Featuring jaunty jobs, reverb-drenched guitars, and lush vocal harmonies, the song is sugary indie pop at its finest; it is just not what I have come to expect from Club 8.
