London-based pop songwriter Cristina Hart is preparing to release her debut EP Sell a Dream this autumn. The lead single from the album is “I’m a Mess.” Written while unable to speak or sing and prescribed on antibiotics, Hart wrote the song as an admittance that not being on her A-game 24/7 was okay. “I find that by sharing negative experiences through fun songs, I can spread honesty and positivity with my audience,” she says. With a finge-snapped beat and lush bouncing synths, the track has a euphoric feeling perfect for the summer.
