Antwerpen/Hamburg-based duo, The Day just released their cover of Amsterdam band, Dakota‘s song “Icon.” Gone is the original’s signature guitar-riff, replaced by snaky synths. With a beat that loses some of the original’s shuffling and other shimmer electronic flourishes, The Day’s cover feels brighter and poppier.
