New Jersey’s The Deflators recently released their Check Your Pressure EP. The opening track, “Liar Liar,” takes the common idiom “liar liar pants on fire” and stretches it into an entire song. With a sound reminiscent of power pop bands like the Cars mixed with proto-punk influences a la The Stooges, the track is catchy with just the right amount of sneer.
