Norman, OK band, Different Jane recently released their album, Rooms. The album’s opening track, “Atom Bomb” is a nice encapsulation of the band’s sound. A slice of tempo-shifting slacker rock, the song is reminiscent of bands like Pavement or the Lemonheads. Frontman Ian Roberts said “I wrote this song about a girl I know who despite being a seemingly perfect person in every aspect, for some reason she always ended up with the shit end of the stick. Some was bad luck other times were self sabotage. It is a song about how a person can be both a really incredible person and still make mistakes.”
