Austin, TX based singer, Ella Reid is preparing to release her new full-length, Gimme A Cowboy. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the new single from the album, “Take Me As I Am.”
Beginning acapella to show off Reid’s stunning soulful vocals, “Take Me As I Am” develops as a alt-country song with an acoustic backbone and blazing lead electric guitar. Reid discussed the song’s body positive message saying “The chorus of this song is really me speaking to myself. I struggle sometimes with comparison, age, beauty and what I really want to do, is to be able to show up as me, in my own skin and shine a light.”
