Elsa Lester, the moniker of Lisa van Kampen, just released her new EP Back From Vacation. The EP’s lead single is “Sweet Ghost Inc.” Although from Amsterdam, there is an almost “Dolewave” sound to the track as it mixes lo-fi rock, a catchy chorus, and sad undertones. “This song is about how I struggle with insecurity and how I sometimes tell myself that I’m not good enough when I’m feeling really low,” said Van Kampen. “It’s kind of a reminder that the things I call myself sometimes sound kinda ridiculous.” If you’re a fan of Courtney Barnett or Middle Kids, you might call Elsa Lester your new favorite band.
