Gold Connections “Stick Figures”

Richmond, VA trio, Gold Connections are preparing to release their new EP, Ammunition on November 16th. The latest single from the album is “Stick Figures.” The track mixes the slack rock style of Pavement with the shouted backing vocals of Cake in a 90s tour-de-force sound. With lyrics recalling losing his virginity or saying “I Love You” the first time to a girlfriend, the song is about “the need to get over a dreamy youth and face the present day” said singer/songwriter, Will Marsh. He sings during the chorus “You don’t get hung for a memory/You just get hung up.” An important lesson to learn for sure.
