“The Last Time That She Talked To Me” is The Hold Steady at their most Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Featuring “ooh yeah yeah” backing vocals, accent horns, and a saxophone solo, the song feels a little dad rock but it is still nice to know what is happening in the party pit.
