On December 16th, Jordan Burchel will self-release his new album, Vowel Sounds. Surviving the Golden Age is excited to premiere the video for “Coffee Breath.” The track itself mixes elements of psychedelic rock and dream pop. The video follows those exact vibes with a bit of insouciance. Animated by Tristan Whitehill at Squiggle Dot, “Coffee Breath” has an almost Dire Straits’ “Money for Nothing” feel to it. It follows a coffee cups journey from the desert to a living room back to the desert. In that time, he encounters a snake, an hourglass with a skull in it, and he drinks from an another coffee cup. It’s a captivating video in its pure weirdness.
